Yankee Piano Service is proudly based in Auburn, Massachusetts. A sole proprietorship, owned and operated by David Moulton, Yankee Piano Service was established in 2011. Driven to build a career that combined his lifelong love of music, as well as his experience as a professional musician and mechanical engineer, David completed studies and an apprenticeship with Colin McCullough, an independent piano tuner and technician who was well-known both locally and regionally for his skill and experience with M. Steinert & Sons, New England's premier dealer of Steinway & Sons pianos.
Since its start, Yankee Piano Service has grown exponentially, thus proving its success. Today, we serve private households, religious organizations, schools and universities, large corporations, retirement and assisted living communities, performing arts venues, and more. We have worked on brand new instruments, as well as those dating back to 1865 in the midst of the Victorian Era. We are committed to our customers, their complete satisfaction, and their love of music.
We believe that our services are superior to other local tuners and technicians. Clearly, based on their loyalty, our customers agree. All of our tunings are completed in the "old fashioned" way: by ear without the use of electronic tuners or computers. We use only a tuning fork to establish a starting point. We believe that the result is a cleaner, more refined tuning with which our customers are very happy.
We are a proud member of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, and the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce. David is also an Associate Member of the Piano Technician's Guild (Boston Chapter), and Secretary of the American Guild of Organists (Worcester Chapter).
